The research-based project was on understanding the usability of Bamboo in India. Bamboo thrives in a wide range of climatic and edaphic conditions. owing to its worldwide distribution, bamboo plays a very important role in biodiversity conservation, carbon sequestration, and soil moisture conservation and prevention and is a very versatile material that has a Rapid growth rate.
India is the 2nd largest populated country in the World. As per the UNICEF globally our reliance on Natural resources is 65 % which comes from the Terrestrial ecosystem where as they are depleting the day-by-day ,  Bamboo can be a great help for bringing change in economic growth and development of the country as India is the 2nd largest grower of the material. but still, there is very little usability of the material
Despite bamboo being a versatile material, the Public Perception of Bamboo is that it is a low-cost material. There is less awareness about the material application. Handicraft products are the most prevalent and widely known. However, bamboo is used to make everyday products and furniture is very less. Also, there is depletion seen in the growing rate of Bamboo, in a few areas where there is less awareness of bamboo.
We also tried to understand the involvement of different government and Non-government organisations  in the different sectors related to bamboo, how they implement and affect the people related to the sector of Bamboo.
